Does AKRA Suites & Spa offer transfer services?

Kindly note that AKRA Suites & Spa is located in Imerovigli village, within approximately a 15-minute drive from the airport and a 25-minute drive from the port. Private transfers from/to airport and port (as well as trips all over the island), can be organized upon request. The one-way cost of the shuttle (for up to 3 persons) for the airport is 36 Euros, while the cost for the port is 45 Euros.

Due to the the COVID-19 situation the check in time is at 15.00 & the check out time at 11.00 to allow for adequate time for cleaning, disinfection & ventilation of the rooms between stays.

Can I arrange land tours & boat or helicopter trips on Santorini island?

Various tours & excursions, as well as boat & helicopter trips can be arranged through AKRA as described on our website. Furthermore, we will be delighted to cater for your individual needs, please contact the Reception.

Is parking available?

Your car or the the transfer service will bring you 60 meters from the entrance of our hotel. From the arrival point you will have to make a stairless stroll of one minute enjoying the view to Santorini’s caldera. Check the walking directions from Google maps:

Please note that if you prefer to arrange your transfer by yourself, you may reach the same arrival point where there is a free public parking area around, however since AKRA Suites is located within the pedestrian zone of Imerovigli the surrounding area is usually busy. For your convenience, if you choose to rent a car from “ALTA car rental” which is located exactly at the previous mentioned most closely point to AKRA, we have arranged that the parking of your car will be handled by our ALTA liaison, so you do need to worry about it.

There are also alternative free parking areas nearby. Please check below the two most convenient parking areas that require 5-6 minutes walking (partially uphill).

At AKRA SUITES & SPA, our absolute priority is the health & safety of our staff & guests.

We are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation through regular updates ( link to https://eody.gov.gr/en/covid-19/) and guidance (https://eody.gov.gr/en/public-safety-advice/ ) from the Hellenic Health Organization (E.O.D.Y.), the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) (www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/covid-19 ) & the World Health Organization (WHO), strictly implementing all related mandates.

All our staff & associates have been trained & are continuously updated in COVID-19 related protocols. As such, they will always use face coverings, while social distancing measures will be adhered to whenever possible.

Disinfecting gels are available at all public spaces and complementary disinfectant wipes as well as personal protection equipment (face masks and gloves) are available upon request.

We have partnered with some of the worlds leading companies in the areas of cleanliness and hygiene, namely NILFISK, using their specialized products to offer you the best services possible.

Furthermore, we do our best to offer additional preventative measures, while making sure that you get the best guest experience through utmost comfort & privacy.

In that respect, we will be implementing a rigorous cleaning & disinfection regimen, while we will be offering, where possible, contactless solutions designed to serve your needs in the best way while creating another layer to our preventative safety measures.

More specifically:

The Reception
The reception area will be disinfected frequently with hospital grade disinfectants, and social distancing will be adhered to, whilst hand sanitizers will be always available. We offer our guests the option to Check-in online. You will receive the majority of documents (invoices, receipts, etc.) via email.
Our check in time has been adjusted to 15.00 and check out time to 11.00. The additional time between each check-out and check-in is essential to ensure that each room is thoroughly cleaned & disinfected between stays, while the space is adequately ventilated.
Our reception team will always be a call away for any assistance you may require throughout your stay!

Guest Rooms
Our trained housekeeping staff will be always wearing masks & gloves and will be meticulously clean and disinfect your room before your arrival with the use of NILFISK and UV sterilization products, to ensure that you have a care free stay.
Housekeeping services during your stay as well as linen & towels change will be provided only upon your request.

Pools
All chairs, sunbeds & tables are placed using social distancing standards and will be disinfected after every use.
Our main pool as well as all outdoor hot tubs are cleaned & chlorinated daily, while fresh pool towels will be provided daily.

Food & Drink
Your complimentary, made to order breakfast, will be served at your own room or balcony.
Eating at AKRA Restaurant is outdoors only, offering a breathtaking view, while the spacing will adhere to the new social distancing measures .
Alternatively you may wish to enjoy a private lunch / dinner, please call the Reception for more information & to make a booking.
Our food handlers, cooks and supervisors are trained on safe food preparation and service practices & will always follow strict sanitation guidelines.

All drivers and passengers are required to wear masks.

Medical Support
AKRA SUITES & SPA has a doctor on call.
We are also cooperating with the public hospital of Santorini, as well as the Central Clinic of Santorini (https://santorinicentralclinic.gr) where COVID-19 testing can be carried out if needed.
